$38 Million Distributed to Web Hosting Company Layered Tech

Layered Technologies has secured a $38 million credit facility from Fortress Investment Group LLC. The millions were distributed in order for the global providers of web hosting to continue their investment in enhancing and expanding its compliant hosting and cloud services.

The money will look to fund future growth and expand their capabilities; a luxury which CEO Jack Finlayson says will be passed on to their customers.

“Layered Tech has experienced very healthy customer growth with our market-leading compliant hosting and cloud services, both in terms of new customers and expanding business with existing customers,” he admitted.

Finlayson’s company also offers enterprise-class hosting, Integrated Software Vendors (ISVs) and SaaS verticals. All their services also comply with financial payment card industry (PCI), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act requirements.

Ben Bisconti the MD of Accel-KKR congratulated Layered Tech on securing the investment, saying, “Layered Tech has done an outstanding job delivering critical hosting and cloud services to its customers, and we look forward to their continued success.”

“We are excited that Layered Tech has expanded its capital base through this new credit facility. The company has significantly increased its capacity for growth through continued investment in their compliant hosting market-leadership position,” he concluded.
